BodyHealth Metal-Free & Chemical Cleanse is a liquid herbal formula taken in 1 mL doses. The 60 mL bottle holds 60 servings, which lasts 30 days at the label's two doses a day. Each millilitre carries a blend of organic herbs and mushrooms, a form of copper, BodyHealth's Supercharged C60 and its PerfectAmino essential amino acids, in a base of organic vegetable glycerin and triple-distilled water.

What's in Metal-Free?

The herbal part of the blend is organic cilantro leaf, organic parsley leaf, organic alfalfa leaf, organic stinging nettle leaf and organic cleavers herb. Two organic mushrooms, agaricus and chaga, are added as fruiting bodies. Cilantro and parsley are the same leafy herbs used in cooking, and chaga is a fungus that grows on birch trees in cold climates.

The rest of the formula is less familiar. CuI is a form of copper the label lists as cuprous nicotinic acid. Supercharged C60 is BodyHealth's name for its micro-activated carbon. The PerfectAmino portion is eight essential amino acids: leucine, valine, isoleucine, lysine, phenylalanine, threonine, methionine and tryptophan. Energized trace minerals round out the base. The whole blend is 1 mL per serving, and the label doesn't give the amount of each ingredient.

About the herbs and mushrooms

Stinging nettle and cleavers are both common wild plants with a long history in traditional herbal use, and alfalfa is the same legume grown for animal feed and sprouts. Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) forms dark, woody growths on birch bark, and agaricus is a genus of mushrooms that includes the common button mushroom. All of the herbs and mushrooms in Metal-Free are certified organic, according to the label.

How to take the drops

Shake the bottle first, because liquid herbal formulas settle. The label's directions are to take 1 mL, hold it in your mouth for 15 seconds, then swallow, twice a day on an empty stomach. The 15-second hold is part of the directions, so don't swallow it straight away. A dropper makes the 1 mL dose easy to measure, and the drops can go straight into your mouth without water.
