How It Works
How It Works
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is a free form amino acid your body uses to produce glutathione, the master antioxidant involved in fighting oxidative stress, maintaining immune function, and repairing tissues. Unlike regular L-cysteine, the acetylated form is more stable and bioavailable.
Who It's For
Adults looking for serious antioxidant support, especially those over 65 wanting to reduce flu-like symptoms. Ideal for people exposed to oxidative stress from training, environmental factors, or aging.
Who It's Not For
Not suitable for children or those with active stomach ulcers. Consult your healthcare practitioner if pregnant or nursing.
About This Product
Natural Factors N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 600 mg is a single-ingredient capsule: 600 mg of NAC in a vegetarian shell. Helps reduce the severity and frequency of influenza-like symptoms in adults over 65 years of age and in those suffering from chronic degenerative diseases.
What is NAC?
NAC is the acetylated form of L-cysteine, one of the sulphur-containing amino acids. Cysteine is present in protein foods such as poultry, eggs and legumes, and the body uses it as one of three amino acids needed to build glutathione, a compound made inside cells. Adding an acetyl group to cysteine gives a more stable molecule, which is why supplements use NAC in place of plain cysteine. This product is a free-form amino acid, meaning it is not bound up in a protein.
Key features
- 600 mg N-acetyl-L-cysteine per capsule
- Free-form amino acid
- 60 or 180 vegetarian capsules

Why a 600 mg capsule?
NAC powder has a strong sulphur smell and a sour taste. A capsule keeps both contained and gives a fixed 600 mg amount without measuring.
