A friend turned me on to AFA in 1996. It is no exaggeration to say that it was life changing. I think of life as Before AFA and After AFA. My perimenopausal misery vanished. I have been prone to anemia all my life, that went away. If I had been born in 2003 instead of in 1943 I might have been diagnosed as some form of neurodivergent.
