What is black elderberry?
Black elderberry is the dark purple fruit of Sambucus nigra, a shrub native to Europe that has a long history in Herbal Medicine. The berries get their colour from anthocyanins, a class of plant pigments. ElderCraft is a 64:1 extract of berries harvested in Austria, which means a large quantity of fruit goes into a small amount of extract. It is standardized to contain 14% anthocyanins and is made without solvents.
