What is mixed vitamin E?
Vitamin E is not a single substance. It is a group of related fat-soluble compounds called tocopherols, named alpha, beta, gamma and delta. Many supplements list only alpha tocopherol. A mixed formula such as this one adds a concentrate of the beta, delta and gamma types, here drawn from soybean (Glycine max) seed. The d- prefix marks naturally sourced alpha tocopherol, as opposed to the synthetic dl- version.
