What is an omega 3-6-9 blend?
The numbers refer to three families of fatty acids. Here, 400 mg of fish oil from anchovy, sardine and/or mackerel provides the omega-3s EPA (70 mg) and DHA (45 mg). Another 400 mg of flaxseed oil adds 200 mg of ALA, a plant omega-3, and 400 mg of borage seed oil contributes 80 mg of GLA, an omega-6. Flaxseed and borage oils also supply omega-9 oleic acid, 52 mg and 56 mg respectively.
