Nervines are herbs that specifically helps support the nervous system. One of the most commonly used nervine herb is Eschscholzia californica, popularly known as California poppy. California poppy monograph published by Health Canada refers to the herb as a natural ingredient to be used as a mild sedative and analgesic (pain reliever).

So far, I have only tried taking Provita Nervine at night, when I am anxious about falling asleep. In the past, if I was experiencing anxiety at night, I had great difficulty falling asleep, but with this product, I take one capsule a few minutes before bed, and I find that I can go to sleep more easily, in about 20 minutes,and it is a very gentle transition.
Additionally, there is no "hangover" from this product, by which I mean, no lasting cognitive or physical fogginess or heaviness the next day.
My only caveat is that I find that the effects wear off after about 4 hours, and I often wake up, albeit briefly. I have sometimes taken another capsule at that time, to go back to sleep for another restful period.
I don't experience unusual dreams or other negative side-effects. I quite like this product :)
