What is the Women's Prenatal Multivitamin and Mineral?
It is a multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplement made for the months before and during pregnancy. Along with folate, each tablet provides 500 IU of vitamin D3 from lichen, 100 mcg of vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, 20 mcg of vitamin K2 from natto bean, beta-carotene from Dunaliella salina algae, 50 mg of calcium from organic algae and 50 mg of magnesium.

Why methylfolate?
Folic acid has to be converted by the body into methylfolate before it is used. Quatrefolic supplies folate already in that form. The B12 in the tablet is likewise the methyl form, methylcobalamin, and the vitamin B6 is supplied as pyridoxal 5'-phosphate.

How to Take
Dosage:
2 tablets daily with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications, or as directed by a health care practitioner.
Cautions:
For adult use only. There is enough iron in this package to seriously harm a child. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood thinners. Hypersensitivity has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. People sensitive to nicotinic acid may experience flushing of the skin that is generally mild and transient. Keep out of the reach of children.
