BodyHealth PerfectAmino Powder Vanilla is the one PerfectAmino flavour without fruit or citrus. Each 6.2 g scoop holds 5 g of essential amino acids with a smooth vanilla taste. What's in PerfectAmino Vanilla?

Like every PerfectAmino product, Vanilla is built on a 5 g blend of essential amino acids and nucleic acid building blocks. The nine essential amino acids are leucine, valine, isoleucine, lysine, phenylalanine, threonine, methionine, tryptophan and histidine, and they're joined by uridine, adenosine triphosphate, thymidine, adenine and three deoxynucleosides. Essential amino acids are involved in muscle protein synthesis, and because the body can't make them, they have to come from what you eat.

The rest of the scoop is natural flavours, stevia (Reb M) extract, monk fruit, Himalayan pink salt and katemfe fruit extract. With no acid in the mix, the vanilla doesn't turn sour in milk-style drinks.

How to drink it

The Vanilla label suggests 1 scoop, 1 to 3 times daily, in 8 to 12 oz of cold water, about 240 to 355 mL. It also works well in:

• a banana or berry smoothie
• almond, oat or coconut milk
• an iced coffee or cold brew
• overnight oats, stirred in after soaking

Pour the liquid first and add the scoop on top, then shake or blend for a smooth drink. If you add it to oats or yogurt, stir it in well and add a splash of milk, since the powder thickens slightly. Vanilla lists no caffeine. In the PerfectAmino range, only the Mocha flavour does, with 20 mg from green tea, according to BodyHealth.

Vanilla, Unflavored or tablets?

If you want a neutral base, compare Vanilla with PerfectAmino Unflavored. Unflavored adds almost no taste and has only three ingredients besides the blend. Vanilla adds a gentle flavour that suits plain plant milk or water. If you don't want to mix anything, PerfectAmino Tablets give the same 5 g in 5 coated tablets.
