ALA is unique in that it supports the body 's antioxidant systems and can function in both water and fat environments. ALA can also recycle vitamins C and E, thereby enhancing their antioxidant activities. ALA helps to promote the maintenance of healthy neural tissues in conjunction with its supporting role of proper glucose metabolism and cardiovascular function.
