It’s no secret that we love our community. And the Vitasave HQ Block Party was a day to celebrate just that - an event for those who wanted to celebrate health…offline. It took place outside the Vitasave headquarters in North Vancouver. With the help of Vega and The Distrikt (a fitness movement with a studio in North Vancouver) the parking lot was converted into an outdoor gym and smoothie bar! Sweat, smoothies, sounds and smiles. Armed with Lululemon yoga mats, battle ropes, and medicine balls, The Dristrikt’s Alex Mazerolle and Jian Pablico came down to lead their most popular workout session, ‘Crush/Hush’. Crush/Hush is a class of conditioning and yoga - you crush a tough MMA style workout and then cool down with a mellow practice and light meditation…the hush. Weather-wise, it was one of the cooler days we’ve had in July, but turned out to be perfect for an outdoor workout. The Vega team had a demo station setup and was there to fuel everyone before, during, and after the workout, or, as Vega puts it, to ‘prepare, sustain and recover’. Vega provided the Vega Pre-Workout Energizer before the workout for anyone who wanted a little boost, the Vega Sport Electrolyte Hydrator during ‘water breaks’ to help with endurance, and the Vega Sport Recovery Accelerator at the end of the workout to speed up muscle recovery. North Vancouver’s DJ Elrizzy was on site, making sure music was on point. Everyone who came down was given a Vitasave Swag Bag – an $85 value, that included Vitasave branded workout gear and a variety of Vega One and Vega Sport products.
