Membership Eligibility & Participation
The Vitasave Rewards Program ("Program") is a rewards program offered by Vitasave to its customers located in Canada. The Program gives you the opportunity to earn and redeem points and rewards at vitasave.ca and Vitasave retail store locations. To find a store location, please visit our Locations page.
Membership in the Program ("Membership") is limited to individuals only and is limited to one account per individual. Program membership is not available to corporations, businesses, charities, partnerships, enterprises or anyone other than an individual unless written approval is received in advance. By being a customer and applying for Membership in the program, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”).
Membership is free and no purchase is necessary to open an account (“Account”). To participate, you must be a Canadian resident of legal age and must obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian if you are under the age of majority in the province or territory in which you reside, and such consent is a requirement in the jurisdiction of your residence.
Point System & Membership Tiers
Points can be earned in several ways. Points are collected on all purchases made online and in retail stores when you are signed into your Account. Points can be collected on specific days and can be earned through defined actions including, but not limited to, sharing referrals and reviews. Collection methods may change, be time-limited, and may contain additional terms and conditions. The value of points is determined by an exchange rate of both the currency spent on products and the exchange rate of the earned currency for spending on future purchases. Points can not be collected on payment for e-gift cards, gift cards, taxes, or shipping.
When you have accumulated enough points, you can redeem your points to pay, or partially pay, for eligible purchases by signing into your Account at the point of sale online or in-store. Points may be capped at a minimum value required for redemption. If this option is selected you will not be able to use your points until you accrue a minimum number of points, at which they will become available for redemption. Points may also be capped at the maximum value of points which can be accrued. If this option is selected you will need to redeem your accrued points before you are able to earn more points.
You have the ability to view and manage your points through your Account. From your Account, you will be able to view your total points (and currency equivalent), minimum needed to redeem, whether you have reached the maximum points acquired, redeemed and lost. The history record will retain and display historical rates and currency for informational purposes. The history will also show you comprehensive informational messages regarding points, including expiration notifications.
Points have no cash value and are not exchangeable for cash. Points cannot be assigned, exchanged, purchased or given by gift and points cannot be sold, traded, bartered, rented or otherwise disposed of. Points are void if sold for cash or any other consideration.
There are three tiers of membership in the Program: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. All membership tiers enjoy a variety of benefits made available by Vitasave at its sole discretion from time to time (“Benefits”). Benefits may vary by tier and some tiers may have more Benefits than others. Vitasave may, in its sole discretion, alter, limit, or modify the tier rules, regulations, benefits, eligibility for membership, or any other feature of a particular tier or may terminate a particular tier at any time in its sole discretion, without prior notice except as expressly set out in these Terms or required by applicable law.
All new Vitasave customers are automatically enrolled into the Bronze tier upon signing up. A member will remain Bronze indefinitely unless the minimum spend required to achieve Silver or Gold is met. Bronze members earn 1 point for every 1 dollar spent.
The Silver tier is reached at a minimum spend of $400 within twelve months of signing up. The Silver tier is active for a rolling year period of twelve months and the following twelve months; after that, requalification is required. Silver members earn 1.25 points for every 1 dollar spent.
The Gold tier is reached at a minimum spend of $1,000 within twelve months of signing up. The Gold tier is active for a rolling year period of twelve months and the following twelve months; after that, requalification is required. Gold members earn 1.5 points for every 1 dollar spent.
Changes, Termination, and/or Removal
Vitasave may, in its sole discretion, alter, limit, or modify the Program rules, regulations, benefits, Rewards, eligibility for Membership, or any other feature of the Program (including assigning any of its obligations to customers under the Program at any time to another person or entity, without recourse) or may terminate the Program any time at its sole discretion, by posting any such changes on the Vitasave website. Your continued participation in the program following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
Vitasave reserves the right to exclude individuals from the Program or remove points from a member at its sole but reasonable discretion. In particular, any abuse, manipulation or "gaming" of the Program or its rules, failure to follow any terms of the Program, Membership inactivity for more than 12 months, any misrepresentation or any conduct detrimental to the interests of Vitasave not otherwise protected by law may subject members to Membership revocation or deduction of points obtained through these abusive or manipulative activities and will affect eligibility for further participation in the Program. Membership is non-transferable and Membership purchases must be made by the member. If your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled, any points in your account will automatically expire.
Vitasave reserves the right to make changes to its Website and these Terms at any time. It is your responsibility to check or review these Terms from time to time to keep informed of any changes. By joining the Program, you hereby agree to be bound by any such changed Terms.
To the extent permitted by law, by participating in the Program, you agree to release and discharge us, our subsidiaries, and parent companies, and any other third party that may from time to time participate in the Program (whether as a participant or in an administrative, operational or other capacities), and our, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, from any loss, liability, claim, demand, damage or expense asserted by any person or entity relating in any way to the Program, your participation in the Program or the redemption and use/misuse of any item obtained through the redemption of points or otherwise in connection with the Program.
Our failure to exercise any of our rights, powers or remedies in these Terms and Conditions or at law, or any delay in doing so, does not constitute a waiver of those rights, powers or remedies. The single or partial exercise of a right, power or remedy does not prevent its subsequent exercise or the exercise of any right, power or remedy. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the province of British Columbia and the federal laws applicable in British Columbia, without reference to conflict of laws provisions.
You agree that the sole and exclusive forum and remedy for any and all disputes and claims that cannot be resolved informally and that relate in any way to or arise out of the Program, shall be final and binding arbitration, except to the extent that you have in any manner infringed upon or violated or threatened to infringe upon or violate any intellectual property right of Vitasave, its affiliates or subsidiaries or any third party, or any privacy or publicity rights, in which case you acknowledge that arbitration is not an adequate remedy at law and that injunctive or other appropriate relief may be sought by Vitasave, its affiliates or subsidiaries or the applicable third parties.
