Lactoferrin is an iron transporter glycoprotein originally isolated from bovine milk. Lactoferrin contains 703 amino acids and has a molecular weight of 80 kDaltons. Lactoferrin is found in various mammalian secretions e.g. saliva, tears and milk. Lactoferrin provides antioxidants for the maintenance of good health.
