What is Acidophilus & Bifidus?
The product takes its name from two well-known groups of gut bacteria. Each capsule holds a total culture of 5 billion CFU made up of specially cultured strains in a fixed ratio: Lactobacillus rhamnosus (HA-111) at 80%, or 4 billion CFU, with Lactobacillus acidophilus (HA-122) and Bifidobacterium bifidum (HA-132) at 10% each, or 0.5 billion CFU apiece. All three are whole-cell cultures, and each strain is identified by its own code.

How to Take
Dosage:
Adults: 1 capsule 2–3 times daily or as directed by a health care practitioner. Take at least 2–3 hours before or after antibiotics. Children (12 &older): 1 capsule 2 times daily or as directed by a health care practitioner. Take at least 2–3 hours before or after antibiotics.
Cautions:
Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g., diarrhea) occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days. Do not use if you have an immunocompromised condition (e.g., AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment). Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain. Keep out of the reach of children.
