What is rutin?
Rutin is a bioflavonoid, one of the pigments that plants make and that give many fruits and flowers their colour. Buckwheat, citrus peel and apples all contain it. The rutin in these capsules is taken from the flower buds of Sophora japonica, a tree also called the Japanese pagoda tree. Bioflavonoids and vitamin C are often found side by side in the same foods.
